The Naturalist Collection — No. 002 | One-of-a-Kind Handcrafted Live-Edge Walnut Oil Menorah

One-of-a-Kind Handcrafted Live-Edge Walnut Oil Menorah

Form follows the tree.

Some pieces of wood reveal their character through their grain. Others reveal it through their shape.

Naturalist No. 002 does both.

Handcrafted from a distinctive piece of walnut, this menorah features a sweeping natural live edge and a dramatic open arch that gives the solid wood an unexpected sense of movement and lightness.

The wood's flowing grain follows its organic contours, while the deep natural recess creates a striking contrast between open space and solid form. Rather than imposing a predetermined shape, the design embraces the character already present within the wood.

Carefully shaped and finished surfaces meet weathered natural textures, preserving the irregularities and markings that tell the story of the tree from which this piece originated.

Shaped by nature and finished by hand, no two will ever be alike.

Crafted for the Tradition of Light

Designed for the eight nights of Hanukkah, Naturalist No. 002 features nine removable glass oil cups, including a distinctly positioned shamash.

The clean simplicity of the glass vessels complements the sculptural walnut, allowing its flowing grain and remarkable natural opening to remain the focal point.

Each surface has been individually shaped, sanded, and protected with a polyurethane finish.

Created to be both beautiful and meaningful, No. 002 is a functional work of Judaica designed to become part of a family's Hanukkah traditions for generations.

An Individual Work of Art

Naturalist No. 002 is a one-of-one piece within the lifetime Naturalist Collection by Tree of Life Menorah Co.

Every menorah in the collection is individually handcrafted, signed, dated, and assigned a permanent sequential number. No two are identical, and collection numbers are never repeated or reassigned.

The grain, contours, natural opening, and distinctive markings of No. 002 belong to this piece alone.
